No, only if you choose to purchase tickets to any member events that aren’t free.
Monthly payments are deducted every month from the day you sign up. Payments are a month/year in advance.
Your card will automatically be retried by our payment gateway. The same procedure will happen if declined again up to four times. Membership can be terminated if payment is still not received within 30 days. We will give you 14 days’ notice to remedy the default before your membership is terminated.
Our payment gateway automatically updates card numbers and expiration dates that you have stored with Stripe. In cases where your physical card gets replaced (i.e. gets lost or is compromised), we'd work directly with the credit networks to update your credit card information so you continue using our service without interruption.
Your subscription will continue until you give 90 days’ notice. In the event that the club is closed, you’ll receive 90 days’ notice before termination of your subscription payments.
No, but you’ll need to give 90 days’ notice if you wish to withdraw from Stride Racing Club.

If you paid the annual fee you’ll receive a refund for the amount of time remaining on your membership, less the 90 days’ notice. Any prize-money earned will also be paid out to you at this time.
Each stable (three horses) has a maximum of 250 owners.
Once each stable is close to selling out we’ll start working with our partners to get the next stable ready to go. We’ll put together a waiting list so you’ll be first to know before launch.
Yes, if the partners in Stride Racing Club agree to close the Club and associated Syndicate for any reason, you’ll get 90 days’ notice. For more detail refer to clause 9 of the Syndicate Agreement.

No, each share can only be owned by one person.
Every 12 months we’ll send a summary of accounts to members. If the balance per member is over $50 once all costs are covered, it is paid to syndicate members. If the balance per member is not over $50, it will be held in account until the end of the next 12-month period.
The club is 100% for entertainment purposes. If we’re lucky enough to have top-performing horses there may be a chance of a small return.
Stride Racing Club is all about the experience, providing as much value as possible and enabling access to experiences that would normally be difficult to organise yourself. Our team spends a lot of time working on partnerships, content, events, and ways for you to engage with your horses, industry players and other club members. For example, the Auckland Racing Club benefits alone are valued at over $400.
If you’d like to be involved in larger scale ownership please contact us and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Once the initial stable is up-and-running we’ll gauge what demand there is for a stable or two in other parts of the country.
Members can keep up-to-date with events and news via our website, social media channels, communications platform and, in some cases, email. Events will be held predominantly in Auckland and Waikato.
Yes, however registration and an additional fee may apply.
Our stud partners identify suitable horses within their farms. The horses are well-bred fillies or mares that the stud is looking to retain for breeding purposes in the future. We aim to have a spread of untried and tried horses to try to make sure there’s always at least one horse up and racing.
No, the shares are leasehold and ownership remains with our stud partners. The club won’t have a right of purchase as the horses are generally breeding prospects for the studs.
The fractional lease shares in the horses are designed to let you get a full owner’s experience and associated benefits at a very affordable cost. You’ll own a 1000th lease share in each of the horses. If you’re interested in a larger share in a horse, let us know and we’ll help put you in touch with the right solution to suit your needs.
Where possible members will be asked to submit name suggestions and then vote on the best name for the horses. The final say will remain with the stud.
Our state-of-the-art communications platform will ensure you have all the information you need about your horses at your fingertips - to access whenever and wherever you need it.
Only the Syndicate Manager will have direct contact with the trainer on a day-to-day basis. Members will have an opportunity to meet and talk with the trainer at organised stable visits or at the races. You’ll be kept up to date about your stable via our online communications platform.
All racing and training decisions will be managed by the trainer, racing manager and stud master.
The club will use any accumulated prize money to pay its share of the travel costs to Australia. You will retain membership and we’ll work with Australian racing clubs to gain owners’ privileges on-course.
If a horse doesn’t show sufficient ability to be persevered with as a racing proposition, the Manager at their discretion may return the horse to the lessor with 30 days’ notice.
We’ll replace it with another similar level (if possible) horse from the stud partners. If a replacement can’t be found, your monthly payments will be reduced by $7 (incl GST) per month.
Most race clubs will allow you free entry to the course with your membership card and/or the NZTR letter you'll receive leading up to race day. We'll let you know if this isn't the case.
It’s the individual racing club’s decision as to how many tickets we receive to these areas. Members wanting to attend will enter a draw to secure a space.
Each racing club will have a different policy. We’ll let you know whether this will be possible and whether the guest will need to pay on an event-by-event basis.
These will vary depending on the racing clubs’ policy. We'll continue to work with clubs to secure and communicate the benefits to you. In most cases, all members' will receive standard owners' privileges.
